What does “Your cost base” on Earnings mean?
The short answer
What a usual week costs you before any fare: your Regular Bills, One-off Bills and Car wear, drawn as a ring with the cost per day in the middle and the week underneath.
Open Earnings. It’s on Overview.
- Regular Bills and Car wear build up by the day, whether you drive or not.
- One-off Bills is your one-off bills as a weekly average, plus running costs at your usual kilometres a week, so a day off doesn’t add that part.
- Car wear isn’t cash. It’s the value the car loses, so it’s shown with dots instead of a solid colour.
- Share of a usual driving week’s fares sets the week’s cost against the fares of a usual week you drove: your last 12 finished weeks with a shift.
It can be smaller than your bills in full, because only the business share counts. Tap Why isn’t this the same as my bills? to see the full amount and how much of it is personal use.
