Why import my monthly statements?
The short answer
Your monthly statement from Uber, Bolt or DiDi shows figures your shifts can’t: the platform fee, the GST flat-rate credit and on-trip kilometres. Importing it puts them in your tax figures and shows your dead km.
- Open Monthly Import (under More) and tap Tap to upload PDF.
- Check the figures it read, and fill any it couldn’t. Ride fares (ex-GST, before the platform fee) is what counts toward the GST threshold: leave it blank only if your statement doesn’t show it.
- It shows how the statement compares with the shifts you logged.
Left blank, the import’s Ride fares line says Not stated. The GST page then estimates that month from your logged shifts, or leaves it out and says so: see GST.
Dead km is the kilometres you drove on shift without a trip. GST flat-rate credit is counted as income. Statement import is part of Drive+.
